WHAT A MESS! Lagos Pastor Impregnates Two Sisters

The General Overseer of the Victorious Sacred Solemn Healing and Deliverance Ministry in Lagos, Prophet Oluwaseyi Idowu has been arrested for allegedly impregnating two sisters.

The prophet also allegedly attempted to sell their father’s two-storey building without his consent.

How did this saga start? Prophet Idowu was allowed to set up his church and manage a flat in the two ladies father’s compound when he had accommodation problems...

According to The Nation, policemen from the Oko-Oba division in Ojokoro area of Lagos stormed the church last Sunday to arrest the pastor.

A brother of the ladies said: “I and my brothers bought my father a two-storey building in Ogunsola close, Abule-Egba and at that time, Pastor Oluwaseyi had rent issues. My father allowed him to set up his church in his compound and also manage a flat. We never knew that was the beginning of our problems.

“The pastor held several vigils to create awareness and public attention. As time went on, he invited people to stay in the church and from the church they moved into the main house. Occupants left the house for the pastor’s people to move in and they lived there without paying a kobo.

“Months later, the pastor said he wanted to marry my 20-year-old sister, a vir-gin, who just graduated from secondary school. We never knew he had been sleeping with her for months before then. Recently, we found out that he also impregnated my 25-year-old sister who has been indoors for the past nine months.”

He said that their parents were not talking because the pastor’s congregation and family have taken over the building.

He added: “I called my elder brother who told me to report the case to the police. It was at the police station we found out that he intended to sell our building to build a new church elsewhere.”

An officer at Oko-Oba Police Station said: “This is not an issue of r*pe; the two impregnated sisters could have resisted or lodge a complaint against the pastor; it was when they got pregnant that a complaint was sent to us and we intervened. But even if Pastor Idowu is charged to court now; it’s useless because the girls were not r*ped. However, the neighbours and residents at Ogunsola Close are claiming the pastor used charm to sleep with them, and that is not an issue to be resolved in the court.”

Sources say Pastor Idowu has relocated. Members of the church have also vowed never to return.

Dasuki accuses Pres. Buhari of being behind his detention

President Muhammadu Buhari has given reasons why his government has refused to release a former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, and the coordinator of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, despite several court directives.
Mr. Dasuki, who is facing trial for allegedly diverting and sharing over $2.2 billion dollars meant for arms procurement for the anti-Boko Haram war, to politicians and cronies, was on Wednesday re-arrested by the State Security Service after he had been granted bail by three different courts.
Mr. Kanu, who is spearheading the quest for an independent nation of Biafra, was earlier granted bail by a Federal high Court sitting in Abuja, but he was also re-arrested by the SSS, which slammed a fresh charge of treasonable felony against him.
Speaking during his first presidential media chat at the presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, Mr. Buhari said the two accused persons cannot be allowed to enjoy any form of freedom due to the enormity of their offenses.
“”If you see the atrocities these people committed against this country, we can’t allow them to jump bail,” he said.
Mr. Buhari said Mr. Dasuki was simply sharing government’s money the way he liked.
“They would just say to Central Bank give so and so, 40 billion naira just like that; 40 billion,” he said.
He also said it would be bad to allow Mr. Dasuki “travel to London to see his doctor” arguing, “What of the over two million people displaced, most of them orphans whose fathers have been killed, what type of government do you want to run? We cannot allow that”.
Mr. Buhari also said despite having two international passports, one for Britain and the other for Nigeria, Mr. Kanu “did not use any of them to come into the country”.
He also said the IPOB leader smuggled in equipment with which he came in to preach hate messages.

Married Woman and Her Boyfriend Trapped During S*x (Photo)

When you warn some of these adulterous married ladies, they won't listen until they see the "result"...

I don't have anything with him... he's just a friend helping me on something... he knows am married. Hiss!

The Young Lady Tuface's Wife is Chasing From Him is Actually A Lady He Dis-vir-gin?

Trust some Nigerians on the internet to dig deep and bring out information whenever you try to hit hard on a lady for coming close to your husband. Sometimes I don't really know where some ladies stand.

Anyway, someone has revealed that the relationship between Tubaba and the lady his wife, Annie, is chasing away from him started even before Annie got pregnant for him. The source said the lady is related to Raymond Dokpesi and she's the one Tubaba should have married. Hmmm...See details...

Now this is interesting. The lady refused to marry Tubaba because he had many ladies back then, but now that he has just one woman, she's interested in him again? You just can't predict ladies. Lol!

"I Used Money I Made From Robbery To Sponsor My Brother’s Education" – Suspect

A 35-year-old suspect, Ogaga Apomu, has told police in Lagos that he spent most of the money he realised from robbery to sponsor his brother’s education. Apomu and two others, Daniel Yakubu (34), and Daniel Yuana (28), were arrested by police detectives after committing series of robbery in the Festac Town area of Lagos.

CP Fatai Owoseni, paraded the suspects before journalists at the Lagos Command Headquarters, Ikeja. The commissioner said the suspects had been on the wanted list of the command since October 13, 2015 after they carried out robbery operation in Festac Town.

According to him, the robbers stole millions of naira and goods.&
The suspects were arrested by men of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), who acted on information, while attempting to carry out another robbery operation.&

Speaking with the press, Yakubu said that he was invited by his younger brother to rob the place where he was working. He said:& “Initially I declined, but when I realised that the salary I was earning was not enough, I went back to him and look for some other people to join in the operation. I needed money; that was why I went to him. Our first robbery operation was at a super market in Festac Town where my younger brother was working.& It is Ogaga Apomu who brought the guns we used for the operations.”&

Apomu said they carted away about N1.2 million from the supermarket. He said:&

“The gun we used for the robbery, I got it from a friend of mine, who resides in Cotonou.& They came to Nigeria to rob. After their operation, they left the gun in my possession, since then I have been using it for robbery. I used all the money I made from the robbery operation to sponsor the education of my younger brother at the village. I started robbery operation since 2011 from Delta State before I came down to Lagos.

“I have some other important things I can use the money for, but because we are just two from our parents and because of the love I have for him and because I want him to succeed that was why I am sending every money I made from robbery to him to further his education.”

Apomu added that his parents did not know that he was an armed robber. “I worked as a painter in Lagos before I joined the robbery gang. I went into robbery because the money I was making from the painting job was not enough.

I don’t know how my younger brother would feel if he hears about my situation,” he said.&

- They will be charged to court, but trust our judicial system, these guys will spend years on awaiting trial.

State of the Nation: Everything Is Not Ok

It's really not OK at all. While the rest of us are free, living our daily lives, discussing the times, the economy, corruption, Trump and Sanders and other unnecessary things, 200 Nigerians have been languishing in jail in Kaduna for the past 62 days. You may think you are free, but we are only as free as the weakest of us. We are only as safe as the meekest of us. We are only as happy as the frailest of us. Those in jail illegally are our weakest link.

You may hate Shia Muslims. But there is no reason why a Nigerian youth like me and you who has a family, has plans, goals and ideals, school to go to and mouths to feed, should be locked up and denied his constitutional rights of council, bail and family visitation and freedom. Is this how we wish to make converts of them assuming we dislike them due to their "weird" faith?&

Is this how our own God taught us to behave?

In the court appearance recently the army initiated what has been called dangerous trumped-up charges on them. The army said they had deadly weapons. When asked to produce this, the army allegedly said the weapons are in Lagos. Everything is not ok. The army is ready to destroy these Nigerians forever to save its face. If it was a confrontation then why is the army not in jail too pending resolution? Is one citizen more special than another?

Everything is not OK. Buratai and Buhari are dancing. This does not bother them. The majority Sunnite sect north dislikes these large minority. Buhari is traveling around, not even thinking of these people. He is getting his health check-up. He is thinking about headache, indigestion; little things. Do you know what it is like to be locked up in jail for a day, a week, two months? We know the rights of citizens. Everyone is eligible for bail in 2 days. Then you prepare for your case in court. Innocent till proven guilty.&

Where is our humanity? What if we were walking on Sokoto road and got caught in the web by accident; we ran into Husainiyyah complex to seek refuge when we heard the initial gunshots from the army killing the stick and stone wielding protesters. Is this how we will like to be forgotten, unable to return to school, to our families and friends, to our lives of something and times of freedom for nothing as we choose?

Everything is not OK, Nigeria. I do not know what to do. I am thinking of protesting as a one man protest, I want to shout, I want to write to the ICC, Obama, UN, I do not know what to do. I know I have to do something because it may be me tomorrow and even if not, I feel like I am the one in there and everything is not OK at all. People in there voted for Buhari. People in there have not even cried with their families over lost ones; some left little children alone in the outside world. i do not give a damn about Saudi. I don't give a rat behind about Iran.&

This is about Nigerians. this is about our people. This is about human beings who deserve justice. Who simply deserve their rights under the stipulations of the law. They have been held illegally for two months. In any other country they will be compensated and people will go down for this. This is not change. This is evil. It is this neglect and evil we did in the past that made God curse us with Boko Haram. Are we not tired of God's wrath? Do you think God likes this? Do you "fanatic" see this as us giving them punishment on God's behalf? So we are now God? Did God not say that He could have made us all one faith and that He will decide between us on our faiths and who is right and who is wrong?

I have seen mass graves. People cannot even find and bury their dead. Is this who we are? Nigeria, think oh and decide what you can do because everything is not OK and God will ask us.

Odili & His Supreme Court Judge Wife Causing Stir In Rivers

The Rivers State PDP and APC are trading words over Dr. Dakuku Peterside’s comments on the Supreme Court's "controversial" judgment which affirmed the election of Governor Nyesom Wike.

Rivers PDP Chairman Felix Obuah said Peterside’s claim that Wike had foreknowledge of the Supreme Court judgment affirming his election was “absolutely false and misleading”. He berated Peterside for his comment on former Governor Peter Odili and his wife, Justice Mary Odili.

But in a swift react, Rivers APC Publicity Secretary Chris Finebone said
Felix Obuah lacked the moral fibre to raise his voice against Dr. Peterside. Obuah defended Odili and his wife, a Justice of the Supreme Court, Mary Odili, saying they had nothing to do with Wike’s victory.

He said: “Dr. Peter Odili and his wife, Justice Odili are worthy citizens of Rivers State, who deserve the respect and regard of Rivers people, having worked tirelessly to etch their names on the marble. The generality of Rivers people owed the couple a duty to protect and guide their name jealously.
“The people of the state remain eternally grateful to the Supreme Court for foreclosing Dakuku’s ambition to continue to cause crisis in Rivers State. The judgment of the apex court was indeed an act of God.”

But Finebone said Peterside and Rivers people would only take notice of Obuah and what he had to say after he addressed the allegations against him.

The Rivers APC leadership also said, “Rivers PDP chairman is totally wrong. Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside never insulted the Odilis. Obuah could not interpret correctly the statement by a credible doctoral degree holder and respected gentleman from Rivers State, who has proved himself as a better leader.

“Dr Peterside only reacted to the insinuation by Wike that the Odilis were the forces behind his Supreme Court victory. Obuah, who is also the helmsman of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency, should try and busy himself with how to clean the dirty environment Wike’s administration has bestowed on Rivers State as a legacy.”
I just hope the coming re-run elections for national and state assemblies will be peaceful in the state.

Wife of ex-Chief of air staff Amosu arrested; Billions Discovered

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested, Lara, the wife of the immediate past Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Adesola Amosu (rtd), over the arms procurement scandal. Impeccable sources told New Telegraph that Mrs. Lara Amosu was picked up by the EFCC operatives last week in Abuja.

She has been in the custody of the EFCC in Lagos for the past one week. It was learnt that her lawyer has been battling without success to get her released. Mrs. Amosu’s arrest followed the alleged discovery of about N3 billion in her bank accounts. She was allegedly holding the money in trust for her husband.

A source informed New Telegraph that other properties traced to the former CAS were also being held by his wife and children.

New Telegraph had reported that the EFCC discovered N17.5 billion in the accounts of wives of three airforce chiefs. The monies were scattered in various banks accounts.

A source familiar with the investigation told New Telegraph that N13 billion was traced to the bank accounts of a wife of a retired Air Vice Marshal, who held strategic position in the Nigeria Air Force (NAF). In the bank accounts of another wife of a serving senior officer, N1.5 billion was found. New Telegraph learnt that the officers handled the finance, budget and accounts of NAF.

Amosu was arrested two weeks ago by the EFCC over his involvement in the arms scandal. “Shortly after Amosu was picked up in Abuja, his wife, Lara, was subsequently arrested. Investigations conducted showed that some of the monies the former Chief of Air Staff made through some contracts and procurements in NAF were traced to his wife’s accounts.

“About N3 billion was traced to the wife’s accounts while some assets acquired by the former service chief was in her name and some others in her company’s name. “So, Lara is an accessory to a crime. The proceeds with her are from the arms funds. As we prosecute her husband, she must also be held accountable,” a source told New Telegraph.

It was further learnt that the wife of Air Vice Marshal J.B. Adigun, Chief of Account and Budget of NAF, has travelled out of the country two weeks ago, shortly after the arrest of her husband. The hurried trip was said to have become necessary in the face of the arms probe. Adigun has been indicted by the presidential arms panel. He is in the EFCC custody. Several of his properties in Lagos and Abuja have been seized by the antigraft agency. Billions of naira was said to have been traced to Adigun’s wife’s accounts.

New Telegraph has also learnt that the EFCC retrieved $1 million cash in Amosu’s residence in his residence in Badagary, Lagos. A source told New Telegraph that the money, in foreign currency, was retrieved when EFCC operatives carried out a search on Amosu’s residence in Badagry.

According to the source: “In continuation of the investigation into the arms probe, the EFCC operatives took Amosu to his residence in Badagry. After a thorough search of the residence, a fresh small ‘soakaway’ pit was discovered in the compound. The operatives suspected foul play, which informed the breaking of the ‘soakaway’. Surprisingly, $1 million was found in it. The money was subsequently confiscated.”

New Telegraph also learnt that Air Commodore Akinwale (rtd) who manages the St. Solomon Health Care Limited, an ultra-modern diagnostic centre owned by Amosu, along Adeniyi Jones Avenue in Ikeja, Lagos is still in the custody of the EFCC. The retired airforce officer oversees the medical centre on behalf of Amosu.

The diagnostic centre has been sealed off by the anti-graft agency. Meanwhile, the EFCC is still keeping Amosu, Adigun, and Air Commodore O. Gbadebo in Lagos. A source said that the anti-graft agency has been taking the indicted officers to assets traced to them, considered to have been acquired through funds illegally realised from the arms procurement. Some of the identified properties have been sealed off.

Amosu, Adigun and Gbadebo were arrested two weeks ago in Abuja. Impeccable sources told New Telegraph that the trio were flown into Lagos in an airforce aircraft on a Sunday and discreetly kept in a hotel.

The arrest and interrogation of Amosu is coming after New Telegraph had exclusively reported in the November 30, 2015 edition, that the Federal Government had directed the EFCC to prosecute the ex-CAS. Amosu, Adigun, Gbadebo and other indicted officers are being investigated over 10 NAF contracts totalling $930,500,690 awarded to Societe D’ Equipments Internationaux (SEI) Nig Ltd. between January 2014 and February 2015.

The award letters, according to the arms probe panel, contained misleading delivery dates, suggesting fraudulent intent in the award process.

Operatives are also grilling the ex-chief of army staff and the two senior officers over the procurement of two used Mi-24V Helicopters instead of the recommended Mi- 35M series at the cost of $136,944,000. The helicopters were discovered to be excessively priced and not operationally airworthy at the time of delivery.

The arms probe panel established that a brand new unit of Mi-24V Helicopter goes for about $30 million. The helicopters were delivered without rotor blades and upgrade accessories.

The three of them are also being grilled over the procurement of four used Alpha-Jets for the NAF at the cost of $7,180,000. Whereas NAF paid for four used Alpha-Jets, the panel confirmed that only two of the Alpha-Jet aircraft were ferried to Nigeria after cannibalisation of engines from the NAF fleet.

They are also being investigated in the procurement of 36D6 Low Level Air Defence Radar for NAF, which was awarded to GAT Techno Dynamics Ltd in April 2014 at the cost of $33 million under his watch.

The arms panel averred that the radars were excessively priced as a complete set of such radars goes for $6 million.

Acting on the recommendations made by the 13-man presidential committee auditing arms procurement between 2007 and 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari, had ordered the EFCC to conduct further investigation on the indictment of Amosu, former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (rtd); Air Marshal M.D. Umar (Rtd), Maj- Gen. ER Chioba (Rtd), AVM I.A. Balogun (Rtd), AVM A.G. Tsakr (Rtd), AVM A.G. Idowu (Rtd), AVM AM Mamu, AVM O.T Oguntoyinbo, and AVM T Omenyi. Others were: AVM J.B. Adigun, AVM R.A. Ojuawo, AVM JA Kayode-Beckley, Air Cdre S.A. Yushau (Rtd), Air Cdre A.O. Ogunjobi, Air Cdre G.M.D. Gwani, Air Cdre SO Makinde, Air Cdre A.Y. Lassa, Col. N. Ashinze and Lt Col. M.S. Dasuki (Rtd). Badeh had been in the custody of EFCC since Monday. Over N29 billion and $2 billion had been expended on the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) procurement activities alone between 2007 and 2015.

Photo: EFCC arraigns man over N57.7m fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday, February 11, arraigned one Robert Daniel Onyeani before Justice E. N. Anyadike of the Federal High Court of Umuahia, Abia State on a four-count charge of obtaining money by false pretence and issuance of dud cheque to the tune of N57, 704,000.00 (Fifty-Seven Million, Seven Hundred and Four Thousand Naira).

Onyeani, Chief Executive of Imagine Roco Limited, sometime in November, 2013, allegedly presented himself to the complainant as a member of a seven-man Presidential Committee on Import Duties Concession and Waiver of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and investment, Abuja.
The 53-year-old accused person also allegedly demanded the sum of N178, 000,000 (one hundred and seventy-eight million naira) from the complainant, promising that he could procure import duties waiver/concession certificate for importation of stock fish.

However, the accused person, after collecting the sum of N57,704,000.000 (fifty-seven million, seven hundred and four thousand naira) from the complainant, became elusive.
When the petitioner requested for refund, the accused person was said to have issued some cheques, which were not honoured due to insufficient fund in his account.

One of the counts reads:

‘‘That you, Robert Daniel Onyeani, CEO of Imagine Roco Ltd, on or about the 26th day of November, 2013 at Aba within the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court of Nigeria obtained the sum of N20,000,000.00 (twenty million naira) from one Chinemeya Iheaku of G.N. Iheaku & Co. Ltd under the false pretence that you can procure a certificate of concession/waiver on the importation of stockfish/fish head, a representation you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1(1) of Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, 2006 and punishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act.’’

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to all the charges when they were read to him. In view of his plea, the prosecuting counsel, Joshua Saidu, asked for a trial date and prayed the court to remand the accused person in prison custody. The defence counsel, O. Emole, however, moved an application for bail on behalf of his client.

Consequently, Justice Anyadike adjourned the matter to February 16 for hearing  on the bail application and ordered the accused person to be remanded in prison custody

Photos: The Nigerian Selling Tiger Nuts In A Suit Makes It To BBC

But the young man who is not ashamed of selling Tiger Nuts (Aya), while well dressed in a suit, has become a star as a BBC photograph found him worthy of a spot on their website and took a snapshot of Liman while pushing his wheelbarrow in the streets of Abuja, Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory.

BREAKING: Militant Leader Tompolo Declared Wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday declared a top Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, wanted.
The anti-corruption agency in an advertorial signed by its Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, said it declared Tompolo wanted following two bench warrants issued against him by a Federal High Court in Lagos, where he has been charged with N45.9bn fraud.
In the said advertorial which carried a photograph of Tompolo, the EFCC described him as a
47-year-old, dark-complexioned man from Okerenkoko, Gbaramotu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.
The wanted Tompolo, whose address was given as No. 1, Chief Agbanu Street, DDPA Extension, Warri, Delta State, is said to speak both Izon and English languages.
The public notice by EFCC read in part, “The general public is hereby notified that Government Ekpemupolo (a.k.a. Tompolo), whose photograph appears above, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in relation to the offence of conspiracy, illegal diversion of the sum of N34,000,000,000.00 and N11,900,000,000.00 belonging to the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency.”
Justice Ibrahim Buba of a Federal High Court in Lagos issued a bench warrant against Tompolo on January 14 after he shunned a summons dated January 12 issued on him by the judge to appear in connection with the fraud charges filed against him and nine others by the EFCC.
Justice Buba had then ordered the law enforcement agencies to produce Tompolo before him on February 8 for him to answer the charges, but rather than appear in court on January 8,
Tompolo brought an application seeking to quash the bench warrant and arrest order.
The judge, who dismissed the application for lacking in merit, renewed the arrest warrant and directed all law enforcement agencies to produce Tompolo before him on February 19.
Tompolo’s lawyer, Mr. Tayo Oyetibo (SAN), after failing to get the bench warrant vacated, turned down the responsibility of undertaking to produce his client in court.
Once you have “stolen” enough money to be able to hire a SAN in Nigeria, you are a VIP. Sigh!

However, the court of appeal, presided over by Honourable Justice Chinwe Iyizoba, Honourable Justice Abimbola Obaseki and Honourable Justice Yargata Nimpar stated that, from the records of the court, the matter is only for the hearing of pending applications and not for the hearing of the appeal. It seems the lapse in the information about the business of the day was as a result of the fact that the panel of judges that presided over the proceedings on 27th January, 2016 viz: Honourable Justice Sidi Bage, Honourable Justice Yargata Nimpar, and Honourable Justice Shagbaor Ikyegh was different from the presiding panel of 10th February,2016 with the exception of Justice Nimpar.
Consequently, Chief Wole Olanipekun urged the court to allow the expedited hearing of the appeal to ensure that the livelihood of over 2,000 Nigerians is not jeopardized. He further stated that if the court decides not to hear the appeal, Honeywell Flour Mills’ application to suspend the order granted by Justice Mohammed Yunusa should be heard.
Counsel to Ecobank, Mr. Kunle Ogunba informed the court that the ruling of Justice Yunusa, which forms the basis for this appeal was just brought to him by Honeywell Flour Mills’ counsel. Mr. Ogunba urged the court to allow him respond to Honeywell’s amendment of processes before the hearing of the appeal.
After hearing oral arguments from both counsels, the honourable justices agreed to an accelerated hearing of the appeal and adjourned the matter to 22nd February, 2016 for the hearing of the appeal.

Naira In Big Fall...Now 325 To One Dollar

The Nigerian currency, Naira, hit a record low of 325 to the dollar at the parallel market on Thursday as some desperate importers scrambled for dollars to meet their obligations overseas.
The local currency had closed at 318 against the greenback on Wednesday, after hitting 310 and 313.5 on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. The CBN really need to look for a better way to manage this issue.
“The dollar is falling because importers need forex to bring in their goods. They cannot keep on folding their arms because there is scarcity; they must keep buying; the only thing is that the quantity may reduce,” a forex dealer said under condition of anonymity.
“We see Naira falling further in coming days if CBN fails to lift the dollar restriction,” the Ag President, Association of Bureau De Change Operators, Aminu Gwadabe, said.“We see Naira falling further in coming days if CBN fails to lift the dollar restriction,” the Ag President, Association of Bureau De Change Operators, Aminu Gwadabe, said.

APC and PDP Reps Clash In Abuja Over Amaechi

All Progressives Congress members of the House of Representatives clashed with their Peoples Democratic Party colleagues today over the Minister of Transport, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi.
Amaechi appeared before the joint Committee on Marine/Land Transport to defend the 2016 budget proposals of the ministry, but lawmakers tried to turn the session into a venue for political party supremacy battle.
APC members, who control the majority of 213, out of the 360-member legislature, felt that the former Governor of Rivers State deserved some protection from the committee, as he came under a barrage of questions.
The APC lawmakers complained that too many questions were being thrown at the minister.
However, some PDP members suddenly flared up, arguing that the minister could be asked any questions.
The PDP members were led by Mr. Pat Asadu (Enugu State) and Mr. Nnana Igbokwe (Imo State).
The development came as the House Committee on Aviation rejected a proposal by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority to spend N130m this year to conduct a security audit on the nation’s airports.
The Chairperson of the committee, Mrs. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, recalled that in 2015, a similar proposal was submitted by the agency.
She noted, “I can see you people have brought this matter of security audit again, and I remember querying it last year.
“How can you spend this much on the airports even when 22 out of the 32 airports are shut down with no operation going on whatsoever?
“The committee expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of the capital projects of the NCAA, rating them as “below average.”
But, the Director-General of NCAA, Capt. Mukhtar Usman, informed the committee that the agency improved on the training of personnel to meet global standards.
Similarly, the Committee on Foreign Relations declined to approve a proposal by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to spend N9bn for connectivity projects to link Abuja with all foreign missions.

Jonathan’s ADC, Colonel Ojogbane, Others Land In EFCC Net

The Nigerian Army has interrogated Col. Ojogbane Adegbe, the Aide-de-Camp to former President Goodluck Jonathan, in connection with the ongoing probe into the alleged arms procurement scandal.
It was gathered that Col. Ojogbane, who was arrested on Wednesday in Lagos, was taken to the Mogadishu Cantonment in Abuja, popularly referred to as Abacha Barracks, where he was interrogated by some senior military officers.
Col. Ojogbane and seven other serving army officers were handed over to EFCC on Thursday.

Investigations by Punch revealed that the former ADC was undergoing a National Defence College course in one of the military institutions in the United Kingdom.
A source said he was recalled and arrested by the personnel of the Military Police and Directorate of Military Intelligence on his arrival in Lagos on Wednesday.
The source added, “The former ADC to President Goodluck Jonathan has been picked up by the Army. The man was recalled from a National Defence College course he is undergoing. He was arrested in Lagos and taken to the Abacha Barracks in Abuja on Wednesday.”
The source said the arrest of the officers marked the beginning of the EFCC’s investigation into the Nigerian Army’s components of the arms procurement scandal.
A top operative of EFCC said Col. Ojogbane was still writing his statement as at late Thursday.
