'APC will soon disintegrate' - Falae

The national chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), who was recently implicated in the $2.1 billion arms deal scandal for which former National Security Adviser (NSA), retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki is being tried, made this declaration in Akure, the Ondo state capital on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, while receiving a former minister of power and steel, Dr Olu Agunloye, who just defected to the SDP.
According to Leadership, Falae said the situation that brought members of the ruling APC together would soon disintegrate the party.
During his address of party faithful across the 18 local government areas of the state, the SDP strongman expressed confidence that the party would take over the federal government in the nearest future.
While urging the party members to continue working for the party and adhere with its rules and regulations, he said: “This mega party will soon disintegrate and all the members that came together to form it will find their ways. It is certain that what bound them together will soon disintegrate them.
“After tearing apart, the members will come back to join us and we shall accept them as long as they are ready to abide with our rules and regulations.”
On why he decided to join the SDP, Agunloye said: “I shall team up with other members of the party and other persons who truly want progress in our land to establish a credible government in Ondo state from February 2017 and commence the reconstruction and restoration programmes for life more abundant for Ondo state people.”
Falae, on Thursday, January 21, while speaking on the scandal at the party’s National Executive Council meeting in Abuja, said he was ashamed to be linked with a former NSA and the scandal.
