Destruction Of Evidence! EFCC Arraigns Metuh In Court Again (Photos)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is expected to arraign the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh, today, January 21, before the Federal High Court in Abuja, over the destruction of evidence.
Metuh who was granted bail by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja on the 19 of January, is set to appear again in court following fresh charges leveled against him by the anti-graft agency for tearing and attempting to chew a statement written by him while in the custody of the EFCC.
The PDP Spokesperson was formerly charged to court by the EFCC for allegedly collecting N400 million, part of funds meant for procurement of arms from embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA) Colonel Sambo Dasuki (Rtd).
In a related development, governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole, has said that the handcuffing of Metuh by the prison authorities is justifiable, stressing that people get worse treatments for committing lesser crimes and the that the Media should not exaggerate the issue.
Oshiomhole said “If people who steal he-goats, dried grass cutters are in handcuffs; I have been to the police station several times and I see young men who rob not more than N500,000 naira in handcuffs, they are paraded and made to seat on the floor. Why should certain set of criminals be treated as if they are not suspected criminals and serious crimes at that?”
However, the prison authorities have made available Olisa Metuh before Justice Ishaq Bello of the Federal High Court in Abuja for the arraignment to take place.
